Let Me Introduce Myself
Kylie Chivington, MM, MT-BC
I have been a musician my whole life.
It all began when I was a toddler - my mom would call me up to perform with her on stage. I went on to study music in both undergraduate and graduate school earning a BA in Music History from Trinity International University and a MA in Music Therapy from Florida State University. I studied voice, violin, piano, and guitar throughout both university experiences. Now, as a professional I get to perform in several capacities. You can find me singing with the Grand Rapids Symphony Choir & Opera Chorus, serving in a multi-instrumental capacity at my church, and providing live music for local weddings.
What do you do?
An impressive amount of work goes into creating special and unique music experiences. I'm privileged to engage with people through a shared love for the arts and music. I offer a unique experience and set of skills, unlike anything you'll be offered elsewhere. Where else will you get music lessons from a Board Certified Music Therapist, trained to work with all abilities? Or where else can you find a one-woman band?!
I both perform and provide lessons in piano, violin, guitar, and a few other unique instruments. From classical, to jazz, to contemporary Christian music, I will equip you on any one of the above instruments. No one is too young, or too old, to engage creatively and learn a new language - music!
